Outbound for SaaS, measured in bookings

Stop waiting for the ramp.

You hired an SDR, handed over a login and a list, and waited. The ramp never ended. The seat turned over and the next hire started from zero. We build the outbound function that should have existed before the hire, run it until it produces pipeline, then hand it to you to own.

The post-mortem

Read the autopsy on your last SDR.

Nobody failed on purpose. The setup did the failing. When we open up a stalled outbound seat, the same four problems are usually sitting inside it.

Cause

The list was rented.

Someone exported a title filter and called it a market. Half the names had moved on. The rest had never heard of the category.

Cause

The words were a template.

A first name and a company name dropped into the same paragraph. Buyers spot it before the second sentence.

Cause

One person, whole department.

Research, writing, follow up, qualifying and reporting landed on a single new hire. That is a function. It was handed to one chair.

Cause

It walked out the door.

The playbook lived in one head and one browser. When the seat emptied, the company kept nothing it could reuse.

A meeting is an event. A booking is a signed contract.
Why the name

Count bookings. Ignore the noise.

In SaaS, a booking is the contract your customer signed. It is the line your finance lead trusts. A meeting on the calendar can be a step toward one, and plenty of meetings go nowhere.

So we aim the work at bookings. Before anything starts we agree a baseline with you, then we report against it in plain words, including the parts that are not working yet.

The four roads

Pave the roads you never opened.

There are four ways to reach a buyer who has never heard of you. Most SaaS teams run one of them hard and leave the rest for someday.

Outbound

Usually idle.

Or one person deep, which is close to the same thing.

Content

Written, unread.

Posts made for an algorithm rather than for the buyer you want.

Referrals

Real, unschedulable.

Good when they come. You cannot plan a quarter around them.

Paid

On, and costly.

It works until the click gets expensive, and it rarely gets cheaper.

We build the roads that sit idle. Outbound is the core. Around it we add an authority layer, so a buyer who checks you out finds a point of view in the press, short video and a site that answers their questions. Then search, so when a buyer asks an AI tool for a shortlist in your category, your name is on it.

The handover

Keep the whole machine.

We design it, build it, staff it and run it until it produces pipeline. Then we give it to you. No black box and no reason to keep paying us to keep it alive.

  • The data, in your own systems
  • The sequences and the thinking behind them
  • People trained to run it without us
